This seems like slightly blob of metal for the idea within your gun and you'll know when you have this problem since the wire will never appear out from the gun anymore. Correcting this is quite straightforward if you only pull about the blob which has a list of pliers. See photographs one and 2 for visuals. Not that I condone the behaviour, but
